What is ICAR Collective?

ICAR Collective brings together leading experts in psychology, medicine, public health, philanthropy, and investment, to accelerate trauma healing and safeguard the health, productivity, and security of Israel.  We are fostering collaboration among the numerous organizations  involved in trauma healing, including NGOs, managed health organizations, government, and both private and public providers to help ensure that all efforts and resources are aligned with the most pressing needs of the population.

What is the challenge we are addressing?

Israel is grappling with a national trauma crisis of unprecedented scale that is impacting every aspect of Israeli society from health to employment to security.

No single actor or sector can tackle this crisis alone. While hundreds of organizations are doing vital work across the mental health ecosystem, what is needed is a coordinated national response and bold, collaborative strategies addressing systemic issues.

ICAR Collective brings together experts and leaders from across the ecosystem to tackle the trauma crisis together, with shared data and insights and with coordinated action for large scale impact.

Strategic Approach

Engage and Map

Listen deeply. Map what exists.
Surface what’s needed.

We engage with the field to map ecosystem, surface insights, and understand what’s working. We listen to providers, community voices, system leaders, and experts. We look at the full picture to learn what is possible, where the system is stuck and where it can move.

01

Convene and Share

Create space for knowledge sharing
and collective thinking.

We acts as a neutral platform to bring together people who don’t usually sit at the same table—government officials, NGOs, funders, academics, and innovators. Together, we explore what’s possible when sectors align.

02

Build

Turn ideas into pilots.
Scale what works.

We bring together promising solutions aligned with national priorities and help scale what works. The goal isn’t another pilot but durable change: policies, programs, and partnerships that are embedded into the system and built to last.
