About the event

Adolescents in Israel are growing up through a prolonged period of crisis, marked by war, uncertainty, school disruption, social fragmentation, trauma exposure, and rising emotional distress. Yet many teens continue to function outwardly while struggling internally, making their needs difficult for adults, schools, and support systems to recognize.

Join ICAR Collective for a timely conversation on what teens are experiencing now, what current systems may be missing, and how we can better support adolescents before distress becomes a crisis. Together, we will explore the “invisible middle” of young people who may not meet a diagnostic threshold but still need connection, stability, trusted adults, and meaningful support.

The discussion will look at adolescence as a unique developmental period, the impact of prolonged crisis across different communities in Israel, and the kinds of school-based, community-based, clinical, and non-clinical responses that can help teens feel seen, safe, connected, and resilient over time.
